Axiora Medical
Explore our elite portfolio of reconstruction, spinal, and trauma systems engineered for optimal clinical outcomes.
Hemiarthroplasty remains a cornerstone procedure in orthopedic surgery, particularly for the treatment of displaced femoral neck fractures in the elderly, as well as select cases of avascular necrosis and severe osteoarthritis where the acetabulum remains undamaged. As a global supplier of CE-certified hemiarthroplasty implants, Axiora Medical Technology (China) Co., Ltd. addresses the dual clinical imperatives of biomechanical stability and long-term implant survivability.
Unlike total hip arthroplasty (THA), hemiarthroplasty replaces only the femoral head, preserving the patient's native acetabulum. This design reduces surgical trauma, minimizes dislocation rates, and allows for immediate post-operative weight-bearing. However, it places unique tribological demands on the implant. The metal or ceramic prosthetic head articulates directly against the native articular cartilage of the acetabulum. Therefore, surface roughness, roundness tolerance, and material biocompatibility are critical parameters to prevent cartilage erosion and subsequent groin pain.
To optimize performance, our hemiarthroplasty implants are manufactured using advanced biocompatible alloys, principally Titanium Alloy (Ti6Al4V ELI) and Cobalt-Chromium-Molybdenum (CoCrMo). Cobalt-Chromium-Molybdenum is preferred for the articulating head component due to its high hardness, superior wear resistance, and ability to be polished to an mirror-like finish (roughness Ra < 0.02 μm). The femoral stems are typically produced from Titanium alloy, which exhibits a modulus of elasticity closer to that of human cortical bone, thereby reducing stress shielding and preserving native bone stock.
Modern healthcare systems faces a rising incidence of hip fractures due to aging global demographics. Healthcare providers and medical device distributors require partners who can supply reliable, high-volume orthopedic solutions that reduce total cost of care while maintaining excellent clinical records. Axiora provides integrated implant systems that facilitate standardization in the operating room, reducing instrumentation complexity and surgical steps.
The field of joint reconstruction is rapidly evolving, driven by innovations in digital healthcare, material science, and manufacturing technologies. Axiora is committed to a technical roadmap designed to keep our partners at the forefront of the orthopedic industry.
Operating a modern 18,600 m² facility, Axiora implements Factory 4.0 paradigms to deliver consistent, cost-effective product lines. By integrating robotic CNC milling, automated anodizing, and multi-stage ultrasonic cleaning systems, we guarantee high dimensional repeatability and minimize human error. This technological core allows us to scale manufacturing rapidly while maintaining cost-competitive OEM/ODM pricing, ensuring our global buyers retain a strong competitive advantage in tender bidding and private labeling.
